Law & Ethics

A comprehensive understanding of the law and ethics of virtual counseling services is essential for meeting the educational and mental health needs of students and families. Thus, the following resources offer guidance for providing virtual counseling services in congruence with current best practice. These materials provide direction for both school and clinical counseling service providers, therefore, some resources may not apply to each unique school community. School counselors should ensure all virtual counseling services are in compliance with school and district policies and practices.
